DAY 1 - Arrival in Colombo Airport, transfer to hotel in Negombo

Ayubowan (May you live long!). Our friendly driver guide will welcome you and then you will be transfer to the fishing village of Negombo, located near the airport so you can relax after a long flight journey. Negombo is certainly not just to relax in the beach, but this coastal city has a rich history to share with you.

DAY 2 - Visit Anuradhapura Ancient Kingdom 1st Capital of Sri Lanka

After breakfast head towards Cultural Triangle the ancient city of Anuradhapura was Sri Lanka’s first city and the capital for more than 100 kings. The ruins of Anuradhapura now a UNESCO World Heritage. The ancient city which is considered sacred by Buddhists contains a enormous collection of archaeological and architectural wonders such as massive dagobas, soaring brick towers, ancient pools and crumbling temples built during the city’s 1000 years of rule over Sri Lanka. One particularly worth visiting is Sri Maha Bodhi.

DAY 3 - Visit Polonnaruwa Ancient Kingdom

After breakfast visit Polonnaruwa, The ancient city is also rich in monasteries and Buddhist remains from this kingdom. The most interesting of all would be the ‘Gal Vihara’, meaning the rock Temple, You can also visit Archaeological Museum in Polonnaruwa, on your way back to Habarana Afternoon prepare yourself for wildlife in jeep safari at Minneriya National Park, Minneriya National Park is home to one of the largest gatherings of Asian Elephants in the world. Although a great place for spotting elephants all year round. By late August, the awe-inspiring site of up to 300 elephants can be seen during the Gathering. Stay overnight in Habrana/ Sigiriya.

DAY 4 Visit the Sigiriya rock fortress, visit Ella gap

After breakfast visit one of Asia’s most spectacular cultural sites the Sigiriya Rock Fortress the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Only the fit and adventurous will be able to climb the summit, but all can enjoy the ancient ruins and wonderful sights around the base and halfway on hike. Its home to water gardens, frescoes and ancient graffiti. Stay overnight in Sigiriya / Habarana.

DAY 5 - Drive to Kandy visit Temple of the Tooth Kandy

After the breakfast depart to the cultural tri-angle at the center of the island in the morning. Visit The Dambulla Cave Temple UNESCO World Heritage site, the most impressive cave temple in Sri Lanka. Later Transfer to Kandy, On the Way to Kandy Visit Matale Aluvihare Temple where Buddhist doctrines were first documented on Ola leaves on 1st century after passing through orally from generation to generation and visit Spice Garden at Marthale. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage site, The Temple of the Tooth. See famous Blue & Star sapphires are mined cut and polished using traditional methods and End the day enjoying a culture show in Kandy. Stay overnight in Kandy.

DAY 6 - Visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage

After a good breakfast at the hotel and visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawela, established in 1975, commenced with seven orphans. Today some of these orphans enjoy the fortune of seeing their grand baby Elephants born in the same location. Visit Peradeniya Botanical garden at Peradeniya in the morning, which is well known for its collection of over 4000 species of plants, including of orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Stay overnight in Kandy.

DAY 7 - Drive straight to Nuwara Eliya for Tea plantation & factory

After good breakfast departs to Nuwara Eliya the ‘little England’ for its Victorian era structures and the mild weather. It’s chilled out weather and eccentric scenes of tea plantations, waterfalls and mountain ranges. Visit a Tea Factory to see how the tea you drink is produced. It’s worth to visit Local Market and Gregory Lake in the evening. Stay overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 8 - Make a city tour of Colombo & leave for the airport

Enjoy your breakfast in the hill country’s mild weather and drive to Colombo via Kithulgala. Kithulgala is the place to be for adventure sports. Located in a hideaway of twisted roads through an amazing amount of greenery sites. It’s an ideal place for Bird Lovers to do bird watching. Trek inside dense tropical forests to see indigenous birds such as Sri Lanka Jungle fowl and Ceylon Grey Hornbill, a variety of woodpeckers including Lesser Yellow nape, Rufus, Brown-capped and etc. Afternoon make city tour in Colombo before leave, we also recommend you to go for a City Walk which is Complementary on your Package. Explore Dutch Architecture of Pettah, Colonial era remaining, Fort, Galle Face Green, and Independence Square, Old Parliament House and Beira Lake surroundings. Time to say farewell! You will be transferred to the Katunayake int. Airport.
